</span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Key difference is that you can enjoy the full game for
free.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This is through the Plex
system.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Players can buy Plex from the Eve
Store and use it to buy a 31 days of gameplay or sell it in game for ISK (gold
in Eve).<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Hence, a player that is able to
earn enough ISK can play for free by purchasing Plex in game to convert into 31
days gameplay.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This, therefore, allows us
to play with several accounts – and each account can be logged in at the same
time.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A second major difference is that EVE is PVP.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>There is a large area that is reasonably safe
called Hi-Sec (short for high security space) where the guards can take on
anyone – they just may not be able to save you in time!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The good news is that with very little
experience and reading around you can take measures to protect yourself from
being ambushed in Hi-Sec.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In effect,
Hi-Sec is PVE – except when it is not!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A third major difference is that everyone is on the one
server.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Which probably explains why the
economy blogging environment is not as developed as World of Warcraft.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>No economy podcasts either.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As soon as a trading strategy is known it
will be copied, so players tend to keep such knowledge to themselves.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A fourth major difference is that location means
something.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>An item posted for sale in
one region will not be available to buy in other regions.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It needs to be transported.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This has allowed several trade hubs to be
formed in Hi-Sec (much like the major cities in World of Warcraft).</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The economy is almost entirely player based – starting
from mining (farming for ore / herbs in World of Warcraft) through to
manufacturing, inventing and trading.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>All the ships are made by players – except for the starter ships.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>All the ammunition, fittings, etc.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Players can build structures in space for
manufacturing etc.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>There are NPC sellers
but they are the minority.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>ISK comes
into the game from PVE – missions, NPC bounties and mob killing.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Which then leads onto the other key difference – the
economy in Eve is much deeper and complex.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Further more, with one server which is seeing a growing player base then
items meant for newer players are still in demand.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Corporations are probably more important in Eve.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>For those that like to play the economy there
are Industrial corporations, Mining Corporations, Science Corporations though i
have not yet found any Trading corporations.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Furthermore, all the large PVP corporations have their industrial arms
to keep them supplied.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Nothing hits home for a new player than being in a mining
group sitting in an asteroid field of many mining ships with the capital ships
around you gathering the ore you mine.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Characters can learn any and all skills.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Skill training takes place offline (time
based) and a character can learn a little of all skills or go more deeply into
a few.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Much like World of Warcraft, the game is what you make of
it though you may not be entirely able to avoid other players.</span><br />
<br />

</span><br />
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Its been a while since i played World of Warcraft.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I enjoyed it immensely but decided to move on
to a less time consuming game.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Its good to see World of Warcraft still goes strong.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>There seems to have been a big turnover in
the blogging world – some good new gold making blogs on the scene.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have moved onto <a href="http://www.eveonline.com/">Eve Online</a> and <a href="http://marketsforisk.blogspot.co.uk/">started blogging aboutmy character</a> as it advances (still under 2 weeks old!) with the aim of playing
the economy to make ISK (gold).</span></div>
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">

trials are 14 days.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If you chose to
upgrade you account then i will be rewarded with a Plex by the game.</span></div>

for other ideas on the glyph market please follow the link to the free <a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.com/p/crodas-inscription-gold-guide.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Croda's Inscription Gold Guide</span></a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I went straight to my trainer to learn all the recipes.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I crafted the new glyphs – but not the Monk glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Is anyone buying Monk glyphs?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Demand for glyphs rose and good sales were made.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>But as i suspected the <a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/weekend-post-new-glyphmas-perhaps-not.html">demandwas not abnormally high</a> – certainly not another glyphmas.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I was still making good sales at 10pm at
night.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>On my server i was selling the
new glyphs at 600g as fast as i could put them up until competitors came on and
started posting at 100g.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They are now
trading down at 30g to 75g and falling.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/tradeskill-master">TradeskillMaster</a> worked a charm – so hats off to <a href="http://www.curse.com/users/sapu94">Sapu</a> the
author.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Indeed, all my addons worked
with the exception of Gearscore which i disabled.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">in all, a good day at the Auction House.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Worth noting that Blackfallow Inks can still be converted
at the ink trader for now – maybe it will be fixed in the near future.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>But in any event it still means that
Cataclysm herbs can be used for Inscription and i am buying the cheap herbs
that the panic’d sellers put on the Auction House and converting them as i go.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">as can be seen above, i am buying 20 Ink of the Sea using Blackfallow Ink.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I am as about as ready as i can be:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1. All addons are updated and i will be doing another update run tomorrow during server downtime.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. All key addons have a back up addon – Auctioneer for TradeskillMaster; two mailing addons.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3. Almost all Blackfallow inks are converted. Those that remain are for use in specific crafting items.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">4. One of my alts is ready to receive the Monk glyphs that i craft - i.e. have enough bag space.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">5. All alts and mains are in a main city with a Trainer within reach</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Meanwhile i have been picking up cheap Cataclysm herbs that people are dumping – of course milling and converting them immediately.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have also been picking up cheap enchanting, tailoring, alchemist and jewelcrafting recipes that i don’t have which people are also dumping.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">What will i be doing straight off the launch? To be honest, i may be gathering herbs rather than wading into the glyph market (my Scribe is also herbalist). I will see how it goes.</span>Crodahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16620994327943613623noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797534849031995653.post-89870854566466037242012-08-26T21:00:00.000+01:002012-08-26T21:00:03.769+01:00What do Auctioneers bring to the game?<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">for other ideas on the glyph market and other general tips see the free </span><a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.com/p/crodas-inscription-gold-guide.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Croda's Inscription Gold Guide</span></a><br /><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I aim to post every two days one this blog. For the weekend post i plan to post on how the World of Warcraft economy relates to the real world or theoretical concepts for the World of Warcraft economy. Ironically, it is this subject matter which causes the most email traffic!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="color: red;"><strong>What do Auctioneers bring to the game?:</strong></span> In other words, to the (legal) gold makers, call them
Auctioneers, benefit World of Warcraft or otherwise?</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A fair question, i don’t suspect the developers foresaw
the rise of this breed of player at the outset.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>But i greatly suspect it is in their thinking now when they consider
what to do with the professions in the game.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">On my server there are 3 or 4 of us who “own” the glyph
market.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>i don’t see any other
competitors on the list.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>And the same is
becoming true of the Enchanting market that i am entering.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Therefore, on my server there are at least two markets
where under 10 players make the vast majority of the gold from the player base
of over a 1000.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In a sense, the entire Blizzard coding for these markets
is utilised by these 10 players.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Therefore, is this to the benefit of the game?</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Pros</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Every item that a player could conceivably need to move
ahead in the game will be on the Auction House.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Therefore, the economy is not an impediment to a player advancing in
World of Warcraft.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Almost every item will have competitors therefore
bringing down prices.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Hence, as a rule,
prices are not manipulated upwards.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Therefore, a server will never die because the economy
dies first.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>A server will die because
the raiding / questing player base dies.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Cons</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The vast majority of the player base is not able to fully
participate in the Auction House.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Therefore, the whole concept of professions as a method of making gold
is limited to the “professional” auctioneers.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Therefore, the developers time and effort has ended up
being focused on a very small proportion of the player base.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The gold makers are prone to market manipulation from
time to time.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Examples include posting
arrows in batches of 1 instead of 200.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Buying up all the raw materials with the sole intent of cause prices to
rise.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In conclusion</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The gold makers bring considerable benefits to the player
base in exchange for excluding that player base from most of the serious gold
making abilities.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Whether that is a net
benefit to the game? <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>On balance, yes –
but it is close.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">But i do suspect that as a result the developers focus
more on other aspects of the game that affect the entire player base, and not
the economy which benefits a very small part of the player base.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span>Crodahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16620994327943613623noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797534849031995653.post-22533785964231801012012-08-24T00:06:00.002+01:002012-08-24T00:06:43.802+01:00Final countdown to Mists of Pandaria<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">for other ideas on the glyph market please follow the link to the free </span><a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.com/p/crodas-inscription-gold-guide.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Croda's Inscription Gold Guide</span></a></span><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So here we are, under a week to go.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This is my final check list:</span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">1. Almost
all Blackfallow inks are converted to Ink of the Sea and Ethereal Inks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I will keep a back of 100 for the off hands
in case they sell.</span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">2. I
have backup addons ready.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Auctioneer and
Auctionator in case TradeskillMaster breaks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>And Postal and xxx incase the TradeskillMaster postal breaks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>And i have spent an hour familiarising myself
with them.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Call it insurance.</span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">3. I
have 8 of every glyph prepared and 4 weeks of ink ready.</span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">From here i am just making sure my alts are ready to
level – nothing more i can do for gold making.</span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I am a big believer that if demand is better than i
expect then the end prices of glyphs will rise to maintain the profitability on
what will be higher priced herbs.</span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Out of the ordinary things I will be doing on patch day:</strong></span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="color: red;"><strong>I will reset my Auction House data</strong></span> – prices will
be moving fast and I will want to set my prices with reference to the most
recent data. </span></span><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I do this once a quarter anyway to get rid of stale data.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">For Auctioneer the command is: <b>/auc cleardata ALL</b> </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">For TradeSkillMaster the command is: <b>/tsm adbreset</b></span><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><o:p></o:p></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pRQtnhib1_w/T9P0QqwSZVI/AAAAAAAAADc/Q1_qiwllU68/s1600/reset.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="142" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pRQtnhib1_w/T9P0QqwSZVI/AAAAAAAAADc/Q1_qiwllU68/s320/reset.png" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><br /><br /></span><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And of course I will be doing a complete scan of the Auction House daily. Every gold maker should.</span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><o:p></o:p></span></span><br />
<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><o:p><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="color: red;">Loading "out of date" addons:</span></strong> A new patch will mean that some addons are considered "out of date". </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hence, I will need to check that “load out of date addons” box again.</span><br />

<span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">With many new and old players coming back ahead of Mists of Pandaria being released i am picking up lots of cheap recipes that i did not own for my enchanter and jewelcrafter from the Auction House - which have been dumped by these players as they power through content preparing their characters.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">There is a very easy way to do this, only takes 20 seconds if you are at the Auction House.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">Open the Auction House window:</span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">·</span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 7pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"> </span><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">tick “Usable Items” on the top bar of the window</span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">·</span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 7pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"> </span><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">click Recipes and then select the profession you are searching</span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">·</span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 7pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"> </span><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">the press Search</span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">A list of recipes that you don’t own will appear. (if a very long list appears then it is likely you have not ticked “Usable Items”</span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><o:p></o:p></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">I always buy recipes that are priced under 100 gold - though these days i am taking any that look good price given this is a once in a while opportunity as these returning players are here.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">the example below shows that my the Auction House has 5 recipes that my enchanter does not have though none are below my 100 gold price.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />

<br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">One of the Podcasts i listen to is </span><a href="http://calltoauction.blogspot.co.uk/"><span style="color: blue; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">Call to Auction</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"> – hosted by Euripides and Stede.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I enjoy and find all the gold making podcasts listed below informative, and in my mind must all be listened to.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In these other podcasts there will quite often be the comment along the lines of " . . . the theory for this process is out there but this is what we do . . . . ".</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In </span><a href="http://calltoauction.blogspot.co.uk/"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Call to Auction</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">, Euripides and Stede actually cover that theory in a manner which i can understand as well as bring out their gold making ideas. For an indepth discussion on topics this is the leader of them all.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Of course, they also mentioned this blog in their last podcast at 43:55 in where i was seeking their views on the uplift of demand for glyphs come Mists of Pandaria. In part, the background to this was that Euripides made perfect predictions in the pre-Catacysm patch and release.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As ever, there was a full discussion on their expectations for glyphs when Mists of Pandaria comes along for 20 minutes. i will let you listen to it to gather their views.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">Below are all the podcasts i listen to as well as the non-gold making podcasts related to World of Warcraft that i also listen to.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">As ever, it is not only the ideas the hosts discuss but the thinking behind the ideas that is of benefit to us all. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>And they make for good listening.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Indeed, i tend to need to be doing something mundane like gathering whiptail or milling / crafting if i am listening to them.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">They are in alphabetical order split between the pure gold making podcasts and the podcasts what are about the World of Warcraft in general. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>For a complete list of Gold making Blogs and Podcasts see </span><a href="http://www.powerwordgold.net/p/world-of-warcraft-gold-blog-directory.html"><span style="color: blue; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">The PowerwordGold Blog Directory</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">instead of me pressing the Post or Cancel button a hundred times every time i post glyphs from a character i have it set up that if i spin the mouse wheel up or down whilst pressing CTRL (the mouse pointer does not need to be over the Post or Cancel button) then the Post or Cancel button is pressed multiple times. Speeds it up massively.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">in this post i will show you how i link the Post and Cancel buttons to my mouse wheel to speed things up.</span><br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/tradeskill-master">TradeskillMaster</a> is currently the most powerful tool an
auctioneer can use to make gold in World of Warcraft today.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It has a steep learning curve but time spent
initially is handsomely paid off.</span><br />
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In this post i will show you the step by step process that
i used to set up TradeskillMaster for auctioning glyphs. It need only be done once. I can do it in 5 minutes though someone new to TradeskillMaster will take longer.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This is purely aimed at Scribes - for a fuller review of TradeskillMaster then you can watch some </span><a href="http://nerffaids.clockworkriot.com/2012/01/tsm-videos-beginners-guide.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">videos by nerffaids</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">, or buy the </span><a href="http://www.powerwordgold.net/"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Powerword:Gold Guide</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> or visit part of the </span><a href="http://stormspire.net/official-tradeskillmaster-development-forum/"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Consortium forums which deals specifically with TradeskillMaster</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My aim is to post a maximum of 2 single glyphs or each glyph at a
minimum price of 40 gold, a fall back price of 600 gold and to undercut by 10
silver.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
<br />It is a three stage process:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1. Create the glyph category</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. Create the glyph category pricing / posting parameters</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3. Populate the glyph category with all glyphs</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /><br />
<strong>Creating the Glyph Category</strong><br />
</span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br />
1. Open TradeskillMaster and press the "Auctioning Groups / Options" button as shown in the graphic below</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gy9H7f1mCk4/UCfosCrFp4I/AAAAAAAAAKw/wmUYP5_9-Bw/s1600/image1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QJcSbO9E0U0/UDf4lSQgC-I/AAAAAAAAAOg/KRrdZb_AabE/s1600/image1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QJcSbO9E0U0/UDf4lSQgC-I/AAAAAAAAAOg/KRrdZb_AabE/s400/image1.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This takes me to the Auction Group Screen.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. Select the "Categories / Groups" on the left hand side to bring up the page with the three tabs at the top: Auction Defaults; Create Category / Group; and Quick Group Creation - as shown below.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0DmCGJJTucY/UCfoxC8CFLI/AAAAAAAAAK4/UGcneO_3l3E/s1600/image2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ik5X3WqL5ps/UDf4sUL3zUI/AAAAAAAAAOo/XLMxmWBOi9g/s1600/image2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="287" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ik5X3WqL5ps/UDf4sUL3zUI/AAAAAAAAAOo/XLMxmWBOi9g/s400/image2.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
3. Select the "Create Category / Group" tab which opens the Category / Group creation window as shown below.<br />
<br />
4. In the field titled "Category name" i type the name of the Category i want to create, in this case "Glyphs" and then press "Okay"
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CFbD6uBG8yw/UCfo1oPkoLI/AAAAAAAAALA/4GMu3ATdtkU/s1600/image3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F_rYmffM1Pc/UDf4y1LFxPI/AAAAAAAAAOw/T9x4EYWnukA/s1600/image3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F_rYmffM1Pc/UDf4y1LFxPI/AAAAAAAAAOw/T9x4EYWnukA/s400/image3.png" width="386" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
and, as the graphic below shows, that creates a new Category called glyphs.<br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JltaPJKMT6M/UCfo6xsxpmI/AAAAAAAAALI/Em-t0qnWTpc/s1600/image4.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fh2sJ-ysqlk/UDf49wzAATI/AAAAAAAAAO4/xBeQDbOdbLQ/s1600/image4.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fh2sJ-ysqlk/UDf49wzAATI/AAAAAAAAAO4/xBeQDbOdbLQ/s400/image4.png" width="357" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Now i need to provide some pricing and posting paraters to my newly created category.</span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Crea</strong><strong>ting the glyph category pricing / posting parameters</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Because i use the same pricing and posting parameters for all my gylphs i can create the pricing and posting parameters for the category and then have this applied to all the glyphs i put in this category. (TradeskillMaster allows you to set Category paramaters and Group parameters, and you can dictate which ones dominate).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">From the above graphic again, i select the newly created "Glyphs" category to bring up the Category window, and then select the "Category" override tab as shown below.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GYYjGBtBbiQ/UCfpHn9HsqI/AAAAAAAAALQ/Gc_NhwTTuHE/s1600/image5.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YmqjixIZOic/UDf5E1F-HpI/AAAAAAAAAPA/yPRMoYLbtQ4/s1600/image5.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YmqjixIZOic/UDf5E1F-HpI/AAAAAAAAAPA/yPRMoYLbtQ4/s640/image5.png" width="388" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
1. The top part is called General Settings - i leave the defaul values in and scroll passed it.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. Under "Post Settings" i: set the "Post time" for 48 hours; set the "Post cap" to </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2 (by rightclicking the input field, deleting whatever number is there, inputing 2 and then pressing enter); set the "Per Auction" to 1 (by rightclicking the input field, deleting whatever number is there, inputing 1 and then pressing enter). The text above should change to "Auctions will be posted for 48 hours in stacks up to 1. A Maximum of 2 auctions will be posted".</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3. Under "General Price Settings (Undercut / Bid)" i set the "Undercut by" to 10s by rightclicking the input field, deleting whatever number is there, inputing 10s and then pressing "Okay" which pops up.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">(dont use "S", use "s" for silver, similarly for gold use "g" not "G")</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">4. Under "Minimum Price Settings (Threshold)" i: set the "Price threshold" to 40g by rightclicking the input field, deleting whatever number is there, inputing 40g and then pressing "Okay" which pops up; and in the "Set threshold as a" i select "Fixed Gold Amount".</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">5. Under "Maximum Price Settings (Fallback)" i: set the "Fallback price" to 600g by rightclicking the input field, deleting whatever number is there, inputing 600g and then pressing "Okay" which pops up; and in the "Set threshold as a" i select "Fixed Gold Amount".</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">6. i leave the default parameters in for the final two sections: "Advanced Price Settings (Reset Method)" and "Reset Scan Settings".</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">and that is the pricing and parameters set for the new "glyphs" category. all i need to do now is populate this Category with items - in this case glyphs.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
<br />
<strong>Populating the glyph category with all glyphs</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1. I press the Inscription Button on the left hand side, as shown in the graphic below.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fmXdMKbjtCM/UCfpP7boLRI/AAAAAAAAALY/VVGFiMJiG6Y/s1600/image6.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9RaRet6t7cY/UDf5bupVzsI/AAAAAAAAAPI/y7_QBlgKv_g/s1600/image6.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="235" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9RaRet6t7cY/UDf5bupVzsI/AAAAAAAAAPI/y7_QBlgKv_g/s400/image6.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
This will bring up the crafting window.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. I select the first class, which in this case is "Warrior". That will bring up the Warrior glyph crafting window as shown in the graphic below.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3. I press "Enable All Crafts" to put a tick in all the glyph boxes</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">4. I then press "Create Auctioning Group"<br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ujsp8GSLfCs/UCfpTRfshaI/AAAAAAAAALg/1WEsHziVn1Q/s1600/image7.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m801SxMAp44/UDf5gjGj8YI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/n5VickjeOOk/s1600/image7.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="261" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m801SxMAp44/UDf5gjGj8YI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/n5VickjeOOk/s400/image7.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
this will bring up a new window to create the auctioning group - as shown in the graphic below. What we want to do is create teh group and place it within our new "glyphs" category and so have the Category pricing and posting paratemers apply to this group.
<br />
</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">in this new window:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1. In the "Category to put groups into:" select "glyphs" (or whatever you called the new category that was created earlier).</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. In the "How to add crafts to Auctioning" select "All in the Same Group"</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3. Tick the box "only include Enabled Crafts"</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">4. Press the "Add Crafted Items from this Group to Auctioning Groups" button.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">and now we have added all Warrior glyphs to our "glyphs" category.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QBksS0KYXzI/UCfpcp1BJaI/AAAAAAAAALo/4oSg4jKfZ8g/s1600/image8.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WIQoVPEsSBY/UDf5lm4nyRI/AAAAAAAAAPY/qrGR_jZYdnw/s1600/image8.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="347" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WIQoVPEsSBY/UDf5lm4nyRI/AAAAAAAAAPY/qrGR_jZYdnw/s400/image8.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
back on the auctioning page we can check this by looking at our category list. Expand "glyphs" and it will show "inscription - warrior" as shown in the graphic below. Select "inscription - warrrior" and it will show all the warrior glyphs as also shown in the graphic below.<br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9S496DyfNuw/UCfphO_ZC2I/AAAAAAAAALw/5fxspBsQt2U/s1600/image9.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IQxxAl0yQVQ/UDf50lLK65I/AAAAAAAAAPo/nJ3CYb8DeTI/s1600/image9.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="345" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IQxxAl0yQVQ/UDf50lLK65I/AAAAAAAAAPo/nJ3CYb8DeTI/s400/image9.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
Repeat the above process for all classes and you will end up with what looks like the graphic below. In my "glyphs" category i have all the classes added. If selected one of these classes it would show me all the glyphs which have been added.<br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XS9wLioSYhI/UCfpkbRtiYI/AAAAAAAAAL4/h45Owy1jgjs/s1600/image9a.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lZYC-WpV8_s/UDf57iIrVdI/AAAAAAAAAPw/XnB9oqI1Pec/s1600/image9a.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lZYC-WpV8_s/UDf57iIrVdI/AAAAAAAAAPw/XnB9oqI1Pec/s400/image9a.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
and that is it all done!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">when i go to the Auction House with whatever glyphs i have on the character at the time and press "Post Auctions" it will post the glyphs at a maximum of 2 single glyphs or each glyph at a minimum price of 40 gold, a fall back price of 600 gold and undercut by 10 silver.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">i came home on Friday to find patch 5.0.4 downloading.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Going back to Catacylsm - the pre-Cataclysm patch took away the ability for Ink of the Sea to convert to other inks via the Ink Vendor. That was not critical given Ink of the Sea was still the most popular ink for Inscription.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">However, Blackfallow ink is only used for one glyph / 6 scrolls / 1 book and therefore i dont want to be left with many. Indeed, given i can use my Herbalist to gather whiptail i dont want to be left with any.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hence, i have converted almost all of my spare Blackfallow inks into Ink of the Sea and Ethereal Ink. And i have milled all my Catacylsm herbs.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">as of right now, i have:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">134 BLackfallow inks to be
converted = 44 glyphs.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1927 ink of the sea = 642 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is done.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1002 ethereal
ink = 334 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is 350 glyphs
worth.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">686 Midnight
ink<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>= 229 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is done.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">678 Jadefire
ink = 226 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is
done.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">658 Lion’s

worth.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">641

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K0ooUjjmp3w/UCaloAbKkNI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/4DJGUZbQKMw/s1600/image1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="203" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K0ooUjjmp3w/UCaloAbKkNI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/4DJGUZbQKMw/s400/image1.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">i will be keeping an eye on the Auction House - there is a decent chance that Catacylsm herbs are dumped for low prices over the next few weeks giving me a chance to quickly buy them and convert to other inks, if that opportunity still exists.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">and i will be keeping an eye on information out there to further fine tune my perparations.</span><br />Crodahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16620994327943613623noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797534849031995653.post-63271450205965424302012-08-09T21:00:00.000+01:002012-08-09T21:00:01.711+01:00Splitting my end market<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">for other ideas on the glyph market and other general tips see the free <a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.com/p/crodas-inscription-gold-guide.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Croda's Inscription Gold Guide</span></a></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There has been recent debate in the gold making community
about posting at high prices vs constant under cutting.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I would have to admit that i am in both camps!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It is worth remembering that maximising gold earnings in
World of Warcraft is not only a function of “gold per hour” but also a function
of the time a player is willing to devote to gold making vs other activities
such as questing and raiding or even levelling alts etc.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I would rather make a steady 5000 gold per day with an
hour’s work rather than making 7000 gold one day, 1000 gold the next, 5000 the
next etc and fighting the whole time to achieve this.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Even if i found that the stable market earned
slightly less than the unstable market the time i could devote to other
projects whilst operating in a stable market would surely offset this.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The way i achieve this is to make my minimum glyph price
40 gold per glyph against a crafting cost of 20 gold (currently a stack of
herbs costs 40 gold, and each stack can make 2 glyphs).<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I have a fall back price of 600 gold (and i
sell at this level).</span><br />
<br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And hence i am adopting a strategy of splitting the glyph market.</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The image below shows my Tradeskillmaster settings for posting 1 of each glyh at a minimum price of 40 gold, a fallback price of 600 gold and undercutting by 10 silver.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V6hHJLsinxs/UCKxDTLry9I/AAAAAAAAAJk/INvnvY5PaZE/s1600/image1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V6hHJLsinxs/UCKxDTLry9I/AAAAAAAAAJk/INvnvY5PaZE/s400/image1.png" width="323" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There are plenty of my competitors who are willing to
operate in the 20 to 40 gold range earning profits up to 20 gold per glyph sold
(which is still a good return compared to the crafting cost of 20 gold) to
generate their daily earnings from the glyph market.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">By setting my minimum price at 40 gold there is one less
competitor at this 20 – 40 gold end of the market (i.e. i am not there) and
hence my competitors have it slightly easier.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Furthermore, i find that because my competitors are happy
with their daily earnings from the glyph they are less likely to camp the
Auction House to squeeze every copper out from their glyphs.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">That makes for a stable market.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It also makes for a market where what all
participants fear most is an aggressive new entrant and we all will fight hard
together to prevent a new entrant destabilising our market.</span><br />
<br />Crodahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16620994327943613623noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797534849031995653.post-30564430939725677862012-08-07T21:06:00.000+01:002012-08-07T21:09:01.710+01:00Old players returning ahead of Mists of Pandaria<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">for other ideas on the glyph market and other general tips see the free </span><a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.com/p/crodas-inscription-gold-guide.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Croda's Inscription Gold Guide</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">These former players are returning to complete old content, emptying bag space and
completing quests to prepare themselves for the new content.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hence, they will be putting surplus items onto the
Auction House to make a quick sale without really knowing their true worth.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This is a great time to pick up those recipes you are
missing, buy cheap raw materials or even cheap rare drops.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Picking up those recipes
you are missing</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I use Auctioneer and it only takes 20 seconds to do when you are at the
Auction House.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1. Open the Auction House window</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. Click Recipes and then select the profession you are searching</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3. Tick “Usable Items” on the top bar of the window</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">4. then press Search</span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A list of recipes that you don’t own will appear. (if a
very long list appears then it is likely you have not ticked “Usable Items”</span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I always buy recipes that are priced under 100 gold.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span><br />
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0DJwrHNyFdc/UCFhCkEfZ3I/AAAAAAAAAIw/0mONY-A6q38/s1600/image1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0DJwrHNyFdc/UCFhCkEfZ3I/AAAAAAAAAIw/0mONY-A6q38/s400/image1.png" width="302" /></a></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">the example above shows that my the Auction House has 7
recipes (4 different ones) that my Tailor does not have though none are below my 100 gold
price.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">Only takes 20 seconds to do.</span><br />
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">

<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Seeking out cheap
raw materials</span></b></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I use <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/auctionsnatch">Auction Snatch</a> for this.</span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Auction Snatch keeps a saved list of items i want to buy
from the Auction House and will automatically scan the Auction House for those
items.</span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7SHxFVIgrOY/UCFihwCPunI/AAAAAAAAAJA/UZrSrhKvLCk/s1600/image5.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="280" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7SHxFVIgrOY/UCFihwCPunI/AAAAAAAAAJA/UZrSrhKvLCk/s400/image5.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It is linked to the Auction House and will either open when you open the Auction House or you can press the tab, as shown above.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">the starting window will look like the image below. you can add new items you want searched over time - by typing them into the query box at the top and pressing "Add Item". It is very intuitive. I initially set it up to scan for Titanium Powder (for my Jewelcrafter), Volatile Life, Book of Glyph Mastery and all the inks, all the herbs. Over time i have added other items such as cloth.</span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">Pressing "Search" will start the scan.</span></div>
</div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-16HwJNMj4Cs/UCFitU7gJoI/AAAAAAAAAJI/wGUtdL9dV0w/s1600/image3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-16HwJNMj4Cs/UCFitU7gJoI/AAAAAAAAAJI/wGUtdL9dV0w/s400/image3.png" width="196" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">When the first item on the list is found in the Auction House a new window opens with pricing information on this time and various options allowing you to Buy for example - as shown below. If you dont want to Buy you can move to the next item on the list by pressing "Next in List". The information is also displayed on your Auction House window as if you had manually searched for the item.</span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jKoL51PGIJk/UCFjgecuHqI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/tFsXYF-qz14/s400/image4.png" width="168" /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<o:p><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hence, in a very short period of time you can go through all the items you often buy to see if there are any cheap items on the Auction House.</span></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<o:p><span style="font-family: Verdana;">I do this scan at least once a day and it is a great way to pick up those cheap raw materials to craft as well as find cheap items that are normally highly priced.</span></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">

<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">These returning players will be putting rare drop items on the Auction House without being fully aware of their value or they may be wanting to get gold quickly. This gives us a great opportunity to buy them and resell them at a much higher price.</span></div>
<div class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I aim to post every two days one this blog. However, i find that my weekend posts generally get less attention (i suspect most people read posts during the week and therefore land on my homepage and read the post i did at the weekend at the same time). Therefore, for the weekend post i plan to post on how the World of Warcraft economy relates to the real world or theoretical concepts for the World of Warcraft economy. Ironically, it is this subject matter which causes the most email traffic!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Inflation is a measure of the price rise of a basket of
goods.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>For our purposes in World of
Warcraft inflation is the price rise of new raw materials and old raw materials
which leads to a price rise in crafted items, and the higher costs of NPC
items, repairs etc . . . . essentially to us it is the rise in cost of living
in the World of Warcraft.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>And typically
inflation hits with new content where new raw materials and NPC items are more
expensive than in the last content.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">For normal players this is compensated by higher gold drops
from mobs, bosses and quest awards which leads to more money being in the
economy.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In many ways, Blizzard are
reacting to their own created inflation by paying the player base higher gold
wages – which is how the inflation mechanism can work in the real world.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Higher costs of living see workers demand
higher wages to compensate.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Where it affects all players, but particularly those with
large gold balances, is that these gold balances are able to buy less of the
new raw materials and new NPC items than they could have bought the equivalent
under the old content.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In other words,
the buying power of our gold falls as we move into the new content.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Things are just more expensive but our gold
level is the same as it was the night before the new content.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">For example, I sit there with 1.5m gold.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>What you don’t see is the raw materials and
crafted goods in my inventory as well.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hence, i don’t need to spend any of that 1.5m to enhance
my gold making process – it is in effect dead gold.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It is this 1.5m gold that is hurt by
inflation.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My raw materials and crafted items though will go up in
value and so are in part inflation protected.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Compare to someone with say 10,000 gold and the rest in
raw materials and crafted items – they are less hurt but nonetheless that
10,000 gold still loses some purchasing power in the move from old to the new
content.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Their raw materials and crafted
items, which will form a larger part of their wealth, will rise in value as the
new content comes in.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: red; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>The question therefore is how to protect that 1.5m gold
from inflation.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In the real world that surplus gold could be invested to
generate a return – the higher the target return then the higher the risk
required to achieve it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>That is not an
option in World of Warcraft.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Therefore the route many take is to buy raw material
items and NPC items that they believe will rise in value in the new content and
then sell those items once the new content arrives.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The “profit” made is in fact merely inflation
profits and they are merely holding their own with the inflation – but at least
they have inflation protected their gold.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Not a bad idea – as long as you select the items to buy that will go up
in value.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Personally, i increase my raw materials to meet the
increased demand for glyphs but otherwise i just take it on the chin and live
with it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The additional amount of gold i
need to spend on the new raw materials will be compensated by the higher prices
of the new crafted items.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">For a long time <a href="https://theunderminejournal.com/syndication.php">The Undermine Journal has syndicated blogs</a> (as well as provide a database of prices of all items across servers –
see my post on the <a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/flipping-market.html">Flipping Market</a> for a worked example of how to use this database).</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Just recently Jim Younkin has restarted his
<a href="http://chronicle.powerwordgold.net/">PowerWord:Gold Chronicle</a> up again which does much the same thing.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The Undermine Journal automatically syndicates from a
list of blogs that it declares on its page.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>The PowerWord:Gold Chronicle has editorial control from Jim.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">If you are starting out in gold making and want a good

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The launch date for Mists of Pandaria has been announced
as 25<span style="font-size: x-small;">th</span> September 2012.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">That leaves us under 2 months to be prepared for the
launch – to that end below is an update of where i currently stand and what i
need to do.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have 5 professions fully levelled over 3 characters –
Inscription, Enchanting, Tailoring, Jewel Crafting and Alchemy.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>On my Scribe i also have Herbalism which is
fully maxed out.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Raw material
stocks for my Scribe – work in progress:</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have 8 of every glyph.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My aim is to have sufficient inks to cover until the herb
farmers get up to speed and start providing the Auction House with Mists of
Pandaria herbs at sensible prices.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If
there is a huge rush for glyphs then i would expect the price of glyphs to rise
substantially more than offsetting the higher prices of herbs.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Given it takes 3 inks per glyph, then my current ink
stock pile gives me:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">867 BLackfallow inks to be converted = 289 glyphs.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1655 ink of the sea = 552 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is 600 glyphs worth.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">695 ethereal ink = 231 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is 350 glyphs worth.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">521 Midnight ink<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>=
174 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is 230 glyphs worth.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">678 Jadefire ink = 226 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is done.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">325 Lion’s ink = 108 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is 350 glyphs worth.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">641 Shimmering ink = 213 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is done.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">437 Celestial ink = 145 glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Target is done.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Given the Blackfallow inks i already have i am well on my
way to getting there.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I don’t plan on stocking any herbs.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Raw material
stocks for my other professions – all done:</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I don’t plan to stock any additional raw materials above
the norm for these – all my focus will be on my main profession which is
Inscription.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Profession
Completeness – work in progress:</span></b><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My Scribe has all the recipes. My other characters are busy picking up the recipes that
drop from specific mobs.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Character
progression <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>- all done:</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Scribe done enough – could do better but will be able to
level through the next content.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Enchanter / Tailor may need some work – could level but
currently only at beginning dungeon ability on Cataclysm.</span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Jewelcrafter / Alchemist – all done, will be fully able
to level through the next content.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Addons:</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have made sure they are all up to date and i have
</span><a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/auctioneer"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Auctioneer</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> and </span><a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/auctionator"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Auctionator</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> as backups to </span><a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/tradeskill-master"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Tradeskillmaster</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> in case it
breaks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I also have two postal addons in
case on breaks.</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Every gold maker in World of Warcraft will spend time at
the mail box.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Indeed, players covering a
mailbox with their mount and so making it hard to access the mailbox is almost
considered an act of war!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Therefore, anything that can be done to speed up the
unloading of mails is welcome. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">To that end, there are two things that can be done:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Firstly,</strong> the mailbox will allow you to unload the first
50 mails.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>To speed up this process press
the “config” button on your mailbox page (assuming you have an addon such as
Mail Opener) </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0j0GAlLs4tc/UBVDkG9RTII/AAAAAAAAAH8/jUQqgF3aV3I/s1600/mailboxconfig1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0j0GAlLs4tc/UBVDkG9RTII/AAAAAAAAAH8/jUQqgF3aV3I/s400/mailboxconfig1.png" width="248" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WGL_pT8hPdI/UBVEvbqjxhI/AAAAAAAAAIE/TfbnzqOb_lI/s1600/mailboxconfig2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WGL_pT8hPdI/UBVEvbqjxhI/AAAAAAAAAIE/TfbnzqOb_lI/s1600/mailboxconfig2.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">When the Configuration window opens up - select the "Open All" as shown in the image above</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SiY_EGwEgcc/UBVE0IYy0-I/AAAAAAAAAIM/Z3YMr_1FWqA/s1600/mailboxconfig3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SiY_EGwEgcc/UBVE0IYy0-I/AAAAAAAAAIM/Z3YMr_1FWqA/s320/mailboxconfig3.png" width="309" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">And then set the opening interval times to the above - this is the fastest time to open 50 mails, assuming latency allows this.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Secondly,</strong> when you have more than 50 items to empty from the mailbox you need to wait a full minute before the
mailbox loads the next 50 items to allow unloading to continue.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">To skip this part you can put “/reload” in the chat box to reload your
UI.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If you computer is fast enough then
this only takes a few seconds (for me about 8) – which is a great saving on the
30 seconds i normally have to wait.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GSkbFHwlhZ4/UBVFZ4HA4wI/AAAAAAAAAIc/MN3jpmtvd5k/s1600/reloadimage.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="127" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GSkbFHwlhZ4/UBVFZ4HA4wI/AAAAAAAAAIc/MN3jpmtvd5k/s400/reloadimage.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Something that every serious gold maker needs to be aware of.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The launch of Mists of Pandaria will give us Scribes a
nice boost to income – but perhaps not the boost that we say back with
Cataclysm.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In October 2010, upon release of the pre-Catacylsm patch
and then again on release of Cataclysm Scribes everywhere made so much gold.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There is much talk of a new “glyphmas” upon the patch and
release of MoP.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It is worth looking at what caused the “glyphmas” of 2010
and hence allowing us to compare to today.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>I suspect we will see that there are few, if any, similarities.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">When Patch 4.0.1 arrived in mid October 2010 glyphs went
from an average 15 gold on my server to over 150 gold and held at over 100 gold
for a year. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In my mind, there were five main reasons for this:</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">1. Announcement of
the change of glyphs in the summer of 2010 led to a reduction of Scribes
participating in the market:</b> over the summer Blizzard announced that the
glyph system was to be changed. At that time, glyphs were destroyed when they
were swapped out – hence characters had to buy a new glyph every time they
swapped one out. When the change was announced to the current system many
forecast the death of glyphs. Hence, there were very few new competitors and
existing competitors started to leave the market. The view was that glyph
prices would collapse. Hence, when the patch arrived the number of scribes was
low and indeed the scribes left had reduced their stock of glyphs.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: red; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>That will not be the case this time – the number of
Scribes participating in the market has, if anything, increased.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">2. Demand went
through the roof and the supply was not there:</b> When the new glyph system
arrived characters went to the AH to buy up a complete set of glyphs on the
first day. What glyphs were on the AH ran out very quickly. Indeed, i could not
post quick enough and hence the selling prices rose rapidly.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: red; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>We are likely to see an increase in demand from returning
players + pandas + Monks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>However,
existing characters will only have a demand for new glyphs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>So a slight similarity here.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">3. Players
returned to the game:</b> on Patch 4.0.1 and generally though the Cataclysm
launches old players returned and so added to the demand for the glyphs.
Indeed, there were various surges of demand as new patches came and old players
came back into the game.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: red; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>This will be the case this time too.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">4. Inks from 1 to
3 per glyph in October 2010:</b> the cost of crafting tripled but more
importantly the demand for herbs rose firstly due to the tripling of materials
required per glyph and secondly due to the strong rise in demand. Hence, herbs
started to run low and their prices rose forcing the prices of glyphs higher
still.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: red; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>This will not be the case this time – the number of inks
required to craft a glyph remains at 3.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>Herbs may run low initially though.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">5. Warden in
summer of 2010</b>: in the summer of 2010 Blizzard launched a program to catch
and ban bots. It was very successful and overnight many bots left the game.
However, their herbs remained on the AH and in their guild banks (i assume the
AH posters were on different accounts to the bots though i guess Blizzard can
now detect that?). Hence, whilst the bots were gone, the herbs were still
hitting the AH at very cheap prices. The timing of those cheap herbs running
out varied by server. On my server, it happened just at the time of Patch
4.0.1. Hence, the ongoing availability of herbs went through the floor which
was a third factor pushing up the price of herbs and restricting supply to
scribes trying to meet demand. Indeed, for myself, i was often in danger of
being unable to meet demand on several occasions due to lack of herbs to mill.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: red; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>On my server at least, there are no bots and hence there
will not be an effect<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>from them
disappearing this time.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In summary – demand will rise driven by returning players
/ pandas / monks but at a lower rate than was the case at Cataclysm.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>There will be the usual effect on supply as
the herb farmers start to farm the Mists of Pandaria herbs – but that will soon
stabilise.</span><br />
<br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I am seeing more of these on sale at low prices. Doubtless picked up by players unsuspecting of their value and put on the Auction House.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">These allow a Jewelcrafter, after a simple repair, to claim one Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Token which goes towards buying Wraith of the Lich King Jewelcrafting recipes off the vendor.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There are two other ways to collect these tokens: one is to do a daily quest which is the norm - takes 5 minutes assuming you start of Dalaran (big ask); the other is to trade in 10 titanium dust which is hideously expensive.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">On my server, Jewelcrafters are willing to pay up to 500 gold for these Damaged Necklace’s – so picking them up for less than 100 gold to flip is a sure fire winner.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">They should be on everyones Snatch Lists.</span><br />

<br />
I aim to post every two days one this blog. For the weekend post i plan to post on how the World of Warcraft economy relates to the real world or theoretical concepts for the World of Warcraft economy. Ironically, it is this subject matter which causes the most email traffic!<br />
<br />
In the World of Warcraft there is no concept of a Banking System that is similar to the real world (no bad thing i hear some say!). I.e. there no institution out there that allows savers to earn a rate of interest on their savings and for borrowers to borrow money from at a cost of an interest rate.<br />
<br />
We all have surplus gold sitting in our banks earning no return.<br />
<br />
In the real world surplus cash can be invested in US Government Treasuries and earn an annual return of 1.4% at almost negligible risk (i know, that may not be the case forever!).<br />
<br />
This return of 1.4% can therefore be assumed to be the return one makes with no risk. Hence, any projects one would want to invest in need to earn a return more than this 1.4% to compensate for the risk taken.<br />
<br />
In the World of Warcraft that is not the case. There are no Azeroth Treasuries etc. There is therefore no risk free rate of return.<br />
<br />
Therefore, surplus gold just sits in bank accounts earning no return.<br />
<br />
Furthermore . . . . there is no one on trade chat asking for an interest bearing loan. There is no one on trade chat asking to invest in their venture for a promised return. Indeed, there is no system to facilitate such a mechanism of investing.<br />
<br />
Hence there is no need for an institution to be set up to allow those with surplus gold to lend to those who need the gold to invest in projects thereby giving a return to the investors. Hence, no need for a bank.<br />
<br />
In turn, this leads to no concept of a bond market or equity market.<br />
. . . . . and hence why our surplus gold earns no return.<br />
<br />
Probably a good thing - but boy would that be fun to the very very small proportion of the player base that plays the auction house and enjoys the WoW economy.<br />
<br />
Though, with a bit of thought it could be extended to allow guilds to become richer.<br />
<br />
Looking forward to inter server lending rate!<br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong><a href="http://huntermastery.com/">Hunter Mastery</a></strong>: admitedly this is not the catchiest title for a blog that deals in gold making – but it does, and rather well. Also covers matters pertaining to being a good hunter, hence the name.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As well as the many posts to date it has a couple of podcasts up already – split into two parts – Hunters and Gold Making. And focushot has featured <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vER7nT_dqcs&feature=player_embedded">Jim Younkin's Livestreams</a> recently </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">and his own <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/huntermastery">youtube channel</a> </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>A Review of Croda's Inscription Gold Guide</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In a recent post the author of Hunter Mastery, <a href="http://huntermastery.com/about">Focushot</a>, has written a <a href="http://huntermastery.com/reviews/crodas-inscription-gold-guide-review.html">review on my gold guide</a> (the paid version costing a mere $5).</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A fair review i think, covers the ground well and comes up with his opinion on the guide. Well worth a read for yourself for a honest third party view.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="color: red;">For any other established gold bloggers out there who would like to give a “warts and all” review of my Inscription Gold Guide please contact me and i will send you your free copy for such a purpose.</span></strong></span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Now that times are slower ahead of the new content i am finding that my inventory of Inferno Ink is building up fast – they are proc’d from my milling of Cataclysm Inks.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Much like Snowfall ink i will doubtless get through them slowly at a profit in Mists of Pandaria – but despite that my inventory is still too high for my liking.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There are 3 things i do to turn them into gold: sell them; sell the crafted items; and disenchant them.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Firstly, i can try and sell them as Inferno inks.</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">On my realm Inferno Inks are selling on the Auction House for about 13gold to 28gold. Sales are slow.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /><br />
<strong>Secondly, i can use them as crafting materials.</strong><br />
<br />
Inferno Ink is used in the crafting of 17 items – all only from Scribes, and most of which are offhands or relics. These are selling slowly but surely and at very high profit margins. However, despite this my inventory of inferno inks continues to build.<br />
<br />
<br /><strong>The third route is a derivation of the shuffle – i am watching this carefully.</strong><br />
<br />
One of the items i can craft is an <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=62240">Etched Horn</a>. It requires 4 Inferno Inks and and 1 <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=68047#sold-by">Scavenged Dragon Horn</a>. The Scavenged Dragon Horn can be bought from <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/cassandra-downs-in-twilight-highlands.html">Cassandra Downs in the Twilight Highlands</a> (for the Alliance) [the Horde vendor is Una Kobuna]</span> in the Twilight Downs for just over 17gold. Hence, the cost of crafting an Etched Horn is 69gold to 129gold.<br />
<br />
They disenchant into 1 to 4 small heavenly shards – on my realm they are selling for 30gold, though the heavenly shards sell for 72gold suggesting that the true price of a small heavenly shard is 24gold (3 small heavenly shards for 1 heavenly shard)<br />
<br />
Assuming an average of 2.5 small heavenly shards per disenchant then the disenchanting process is worth 60gold.<br />
<br />
The Etched Horn gives the best disenchanting value per input of Inferno Ink.<br />
<br />
I suspect in the coming weeks the price of Inferno Inks will fall sharply as Scribes dump their inventory on the Auction House whilst the price of Heavenly Shards will most likely hold. <strong><span style="color: red;">Therefore, once the price if Inferno Inks falls below 11gold i will switch from selling my Infernos Inks to crafting Etched Horns and disenchanting them with my enchanter.</span></strong><br />
<br />
I suspect i wont sell the shards but use them in my Enchanting market – which is my number two gold earner.<br />
<br />
Furthermore, if i determine that the price of Heavenly Shards will hold its value in Mists of Pandaria then i may even become a buyer of Inferno Inks at the low values.</span>Crodahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16620994327943613623noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7797534849031995653.post-63066253266336594382012-07-17T21:00:00.000+01:002012-07-17T21:00:01.924+01:00The Flipping Market – watch the cross realm prices!<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">for other ideas on the glyph market and other general tips see the free </span><a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.com/p/crodas-inscription-gold-guide.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Croda's Inscription Gold Guide</span></a><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">i have had loads of emails on the <a href="http://marketsforgold.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/flipping-market.html">Flipping Market</a> following my prior post with some asking what the common traps are.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /><strong>Below is one of those common traps:</strong><br />
<br />
A recent scan using the <a href="https://theunderminejournal.com/">Undermine Journal</a> showed a potential great deal to buy a “Pattern: Heavy Scorpid Belt” for 20.65gold when the mean price is 4772gold and one standard deviation is 1061gold. Hence, the current price is strongly below the mean less 2 standard deviations.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kj_klTKDU9k/UAMQrDWvuyI/AAAAAAAAAGg/SH5-RbYo4Fg/s1600/fliplesson1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="375" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kj_klTKDU9k/UAMQrDWvuyI/AAAAAAAAAGg/SH5-RbYo4Fg/s400/fliplesson1.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Indeed, a look at its recent posting history suggests that it is not often on the market and one has been on for 5000gold recently.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-enPCzyHCf3Y/UAMQyHX4gxI/AAAAAAAAAGo/fwd8oFzTy9Q/s1600/fliplesson2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="166" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-enPCzyHCf3Y/UAMQyHX4gxI/AAAAAAAAAGo/fwd8oFzTy9Q/s400/fliplesson2.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So far so good. But the next steps of my research shows a problem and emphasises why these steps are important.<br />
<br />
On other realms the Pattern sells for a mere 85gold!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DFq5ERTF1DY/UAMRDGl0d3I/AAAAAAAAAGw/7wF6hCvQMqo/s1600/fliplesson3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DFq5ERTF1DY/UAMRDGl0d3I/AAAAAAAAAGw/7wF6hCvQMqo/s400/fliplesson3.png" width="322" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Therefore, it appears that we are seeing an inflated price here, caused by someone posting the Pattern for a very high price over a few days.<br />
<br />
It is unlikely that my realm will have seen the prices jump to these new levels whilst the other realms have not followed. Hence, the mean price stated of 4772gold is unlikely to be a true and fair reflection of the price i would achieve and indeed a price of the mean price less one standard deviation is still very unlikely to be achived.<br />
<br />
Hence, i did not buy this Pattern.<br />
